Leopoldo Cisto Lucero

Leopoldo Cisto Lucero, 63, a resident of Las Vegas, NM, passed away on February 29, 2024 here in Las Vegas. He was preceded in death by his parents Leopoldo and Dolores Castillo Lucero, and his grandmother, Ofelia Castillo.

            He is survived by his siblings: Ralph A. Lucero (Clorinda), Daniel E. Lucero (Marcella), Eva Torres, Marie Baca, John Lucero (Margarita) and Julian Lucero, as well as many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

            Leo graduated from Robertson High School and was a life long and devout member of the Immaculate Conception Church.  He contributed to his catholic faith as a member of the Los Hermanos Crusados Concilio de San Miguel, a Eucharistic Minister and a Fourth Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus, and was a member of B. P. O. Elks Lodge #408.

            Services will be held from the Immaculate Conception Church on Monday with a rosary at 7:00 p.m.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March12, 2024.  Father Dennis Garacia will officiate.  The interment will follow in St. Anthony’s Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers:  Martin Torres, Ralph R. Lucero, Consuelo Ellis, Mark Baca, Tatiana Lucero and Mitchell Marquez.
