Maryann Quintana

Maryann Quintana, 71, our beloved mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 29, 2024.  She was born on January 8, 1953 in Las Vegas, NM.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Adelaido and Angelina Quintana; grandmother Beneranda Gallegos who raised her; grandfather, Miguel Quintana; sister Elsie Marrujo; brother, Arthur “Tudy” Quintana; aunts: Emma Gallegos (Augustine); Mary Helen Ortega (Jake):  cousins: Jake Ortega Jr., Judy Gallegos, Gabriel Gallegos, Patrick Martinez, and Frank Ortega.

            She leaves behind her son, Manuel Quintana; sister Mary Romero (James) of Las Vegas, NM; brother, Richard Quintana (Kathy) of Albuquerque, NM.  Special nieces and nephews: Henrietta, Angela, Christine, Jaimie, and Francisco of Las Vegas, NM and Monica and Richar Jr. of Albuquerque, NM; special cousins:  Joe “Oso” Gallegos, JoAnn Gallegos and Perla Ortega, Mary Ann’s Consentido great nephew Adam Garduno.

            Mary Ann graduated from Robertson High School and worked at Vegas Grandes for eleven years as a nurse tech.  She also worked at NMBHI as a nurse tech for 18 years until her retirement.  She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church.  She loved her Saints, especially St. Jude.  She adored and loved her many cats, working crossword puzzles, watching her novellas and crocheting.

            Cremation has taken place and services will be held at the Immaculate Conception Church with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 and the Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. Enrichment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.  Urn bearers will be Wayne, Misael, Daniel, Joseph, Tim, and Joshua.  Honorary bearers will be Angela Robles, Christine Quintana, and Jaimie Rael, and Joe “Oso” Gallegos.
